Barou Shouei, Blue Lock
I don't even know how I ended up here. How To Be A Heartbreaker - MARINA Word count: +3500
MINORS DNI CW: ALL CHARACTERS ARE AGE UP, in this scenario everyone is 20+, canon divergent, explicit smut, escort! reader, bondage (handcuffs), swearing, blowjob, protected and unprotected sex, cowgirl, doggy, reader and Barou do it four times, dom! reader, fem! reader,
This wasn't part of your contract but you didn't complain. After all, Ego was known for being unorthodox, so it wasn't a surprise when you got a notification from the main computer that you were switching rooms.
Originally, you were supposed to be first prize for the entire Blue Lock project. This means that whoever ends No. 1 at the end of the week gets to spend time with you. Thanks to all the adrenaline, excessive workouts, and constant challenges, your job is to help the best competitor release the stress accumulated through the week. But just like any other privilege in Blue Lock, who of the guys you end up paired with depends on their ranking. So, you have only been with Itoshi Rin since the beginning, since he has always come 1st.
It has been fun since you'd never met someone so stubborn and self-centered. It took you a bit of time and a lot of effort to crack him to the point where he can enjoy having sex, and not only smash his dick into you brainless. You can even dare to say that he develops a liking for you since you're the only one he can't control. You know how eager he gets before finally arriving at your room, so a part of you is quite worried about how he may react when he finds out Ego has been moved you to another room. But that isn't your problem.
Right now, you're curious about who are you going to be with. The picture and some personal info appeared on your phone when you were notified of the change but nothing else. No likes, dislikes, kinks, or anything useful. Basically, you have to discover everything from scratch again. 'Quite troublesome' you thought but don't really upset the change. You were paired with Barou Shouei, and by his look only you could tell he was even more egocentric than Rin, if possible. So, you prepared the room, just in case.
As soon as you see the doorknob turning you know he is going to be a challenge. After all, people usually knock when entering a room with a stranger in it, but he opened the door as if the room were his. He is tall and well-built, and his face tells you he isn't here to chat. His eyes are filled with rage and lust, looking directly at you, like a lion hunting in the Savana.
"Welcome!" you say with your warmest smile, approaching him to shake hands "My name is..."
"Bed. Now," he cuts you, dragging you by your wrist to the bed. "Take off your clothes,"
He sits in the bed, waiting for you to start undressing. It took everything on you not to slap him for his rudeness, but you know better. You unzip your dress slowly and slide one strap through your shoulder before he loses all patience (if he has any at all). But he considered you were moving too slowly so he took your dress and ripped it apart as well as your underwear, leaving you completely exposed to him. He then grabbed your wrist again and threw you to the bed. Not losing any time, he lowers his pants just enough to free his already hard dick and position himself on top of you.
He is so self-absorbed and focused on achieving his own gratification that he completely missed how your hands grabbed something hidden under a pillow. Taking advantage of how distracted he is, you grab his hand and pull it with all your strength. Under normal circumstances, there's no way you could win a fight against Barou, but you did take him off guard. With some quick moves, you accomplish the unbelievable feat of immobilizing Barou by tying him to the headboard with a pair of handcuffs.
You slide from beneath him while he was shouting curses and struggling to open the handcuffs.
"What the fuck do you think you're doing, bitch?! Release me in this instance!" He sounds genuinely confused and you can help thinking he looks cute when he's angry.
"As I was saying," You calmly say as you walk to the nightstand to get some scissors. You then approach him menacing and press the cold silver blade against his dick. Fear and bewilderment fill his eyes as he admires your naked figure. "My name is Y/n. I don't care who you think you are but if you don't behave, I will hurt you"
He swallows hard, feeling a tremble through his spine as he watches how you use the scissors to cut his training suit. "Don't worry. I'm sure Ego will provide another one," you assure him. Like he even cares about that stupid suit. All his pride and power reside in being in control all the time. He is a king, and yet, here you are. Talking all condescending and threatening, treating him like he's some pet that should be reeducated. The worst part is, that his dick has not stopped hardening since you start talking. You finish removing all his clothes and toss them aside.
"Now that we are even," You say, leaving the scissors back on the nightstand. Your voice sounds hypnotic and seductive, convincing Barou that even without a weapon it is best not to mess with you. It doesn't escape you that he isn't relaxed at all. His muscles are tense, his breath controlled, and his sharp eyes are focused only on you. It reminds you of a trapped animal, ready to attack whoever gets close enough. But you are not scared. After all, what is a king to a goddess? "Shall we begin?"
You brought your lips close to his dick and kiss him gently. You don't know exactly why, but you were kinda expecting that he snarl or something. Instead, he remain silent but his dick twitched in approval of your touch. At least he isn't putting up a fight anymore, so you decide to continue. You lick the tip, and pre cum appears immediately.
"Take these handcuffs off. Now," he demands but his voice doesn't sound authoritarian. Even Barou was surprised at how poor the impact of his words had. You chuckle and take his whole length into your mouth. A guttural groan escapes from Barou's chest as he hits the back of your throat. It was big for sure, but nothing that you can't handle. You sucked and bobbed your head at a steady rhythm. In no time, Barou was panting and groaning. When he tried to buckle in your mouth, you used your hand to anchor him to the bed.
"You, whore..." he curses but his words fell apart when you suck especially hard. "Fuck. Move faster," he tried to buckle again with no vail. But you comply and speed up your movement. Tears start accumulating in your eyes as his dick keeps hitting the back of your throat, but it doesn't bother you. After all, You're fascinated by how sensible Barou is. Every move you do produces a reaction: groaning, swearing, panting, even moaning. Your pussy was dripping already in anticipation thanks to all the pretty noises he's been producing.
But you haven't finished. You can feel how he is almost done, so just before he can cum in your mouth, you let it go and it spills his seed all over his stomach.
"YOU FUCKING BITCH," he's definitely out of breath, so you admire how he still can complain. "You're supposed to take it in"
"Says who?" you smirk and grab a towel to clean him. You can feel how hard are his abs, and lick your lips imagining letting him go rampaging now. 'Not yet' you remind yourself.
As you expected, his dick is still hard even after cumming. You supposed all the guys in the project have higher stamina than normal. That actually makes your job easier. After all, there is no fun in teasing a beast if they don't put on a good fight. You approach the nightstand again and chuckle when he jolts.
"It's ok, honey," you tease and grab a box of condoms from the drawer. Barou looks uncertain about why you are putting a condom on him. As long as he is concerned, they are allowed to do whatever they want with their companions, even cumming inside. Whatever helps them relax and release stress. A part of him wants to complain again, but he is curious. Genuine curiosity to know what you are going to do to him.
Once the condom is on, you position yourself on top of him and aligned his dick with your entrance. Contrary to how you feel, already dripping and aroused, you enter gently. His dick enters slowly, stretching your wall deliciously, giving you more pleasure than you could imagine. You have to use all your willpower not to moan out loud. Enjoying every inch with a tortuous pace for both of you, until he bottoms out. He expected you to start moving immediately, and a part of you want to, but instead, you stay for a few moments, savoring his silence huff.
"Now what?! Start moving!" he shouts. You are impossible to read and Barou is starting to understand that he is in no position to oppose your will, but he was feeling desperate. If only he could slam his hips into you. Fucking you like he wants. Making you scream and pay for all the disrespect you had caused him till now. The mere idea makes his dick throb inside you.
"Relax, sweety. You're going to like what's coming," You lift your hips slowly and sink in again at an insanely slow pace. He is thick and has no problem stretching you full, simultaneously hitting all your sensitive spots. It is a real challenge not to let yourself go crazy on him. And his enraged gaze looking directly at you didn't help either.
"Aren't you enjoying this, sweetheart?" you scoff, hiding a clear moan about to escape your lips. He growls at you, tensing every muscle once again trying to break free from the handcuffs.
"I can't cum like this. Move faster," his hips thrust instinctively, but you have him anchored beneath you.
"Oh, I'm sorry. I didn't even notice you were already in," your sarcasm couldn't fool anyone, but Barou was already so frustrated and irritated that he failed to see through your hoax. "I shall do as you say then..."
"You're gonna regret this," his threat is serious but you're not worried, after all, that's exactly the reaction you want. You speed up your pace a bit, sliding his cock in and out of you. While you are being careful not to let him know how much you're enjoying his dick, he has no problem expressing it. Soft groans leave his lips now and then.
Hearing him stimulated your twisted mind even more. You really want to break him. You want to hear him moaning more, crying, and even begging for you. Your pussy clenches around him and almost makes you slam your hips when he let out a pornographic moan.
"Well, that was really hot..." you tease, hoping to hear it again. Barou's ears turn bright red, giving away that he wasn't expecting such a lewd noise coming from him. "would you give me another?" your voice is soft now, seducing him to lower his defense and just yield to your wishes. But he hasn't given up yet. After all, he's a prideful man, and what use does his pride have if he succumbs that easily to a nice pussy?
"Why don't you take these things off me and I show you how it's supposed to be done?" your cocky smile almost makes him cum. 'God, she's so hot' he thought, not paying attention to how much his dick is throbbing inside you. Every time you stopped moving, his hips instinctively moved, trying to increase the friction.
You went like this for an hour, trying so hard not to cum or let him either. Just driving you both to the edge and back, building up his desperation for release. Finally, you feel he is already at his limit, ready to burst any second, you get off him and go to the nightstand again.
"What are you doing?!" you are pleased that his voice is not demanding anymore. He sounds desperate and frustrated. "Get back here! I was so close...!"
"I know," you cut him. You take out a magic wand from the drawer and sit next to him on the bed. "But it's not funny if we end things so fast"
'FAST?! WHAT DO YOU MEAN FAST?' he thought 'WE BEEN LIKE THIS FOR AGES' but he didn't complain out loud because his mind got distracted by how you start circling your clit with the wand and moaning out loud. It is a lewd sound. So beautiful that he almost forgets that you are not on top of him anymore. You make him see how your pussy drips out as you are easily reaching your climax. His eyes fixed on your cunt tightens around nothing.
Once you get down from your high, you return the magic wand to the nightstand.
"Now... Can you behave and do as I tell or should I come again alone?" He doesn't completely understand what it is. Your harsh tone and imposing order, or your naked body, sweaty for being more than an hour riding him, or your itching dick begging for some attention, or your beautiful eyes looking sharp and condescending at him. He really doesn't know why but you make him feel so weak and vulnerable. He feels so insignificant next to you, that he can't help to admire your silhouette as if it was the first time he sees a woman, and discovers they're terrifying.
"Yes ma'am," he replies, without a single trace of the jerk that he was at the beginning.
"Good boy," you say, situating yourself again on top of him. You turn your back this time, giving him an eyeful of your ass as you position his dick at your entrance. Without any warning, you slam your hips down, bottoming in one swift move. He let a loud moan out and threw his head back. You let out a soft chuckle.
"You poor thing. Did you just cum from entering?" Barou doesn't respond. His breathing was shaky and the red ears had come back. You replaced the condom while he was calming down. "You want me to continue? Or was it enough?"
"Please," was a strange word for Barou, but he didn't hesitate to use it "Please, just keep going" You smiled and continued riding him as he begged.
Now at a nice pace, your hips slam against his creating a filthy echo through the room. His eyes fix on your ass, as it moves up and down his length. Your skin feels softer, if possible, than before and Barou is definitely going insane of being unable to touch. He moves against the shackles, hoping to slide his hands to no bail.
"Oh, I completely forgot about them. Sorry," You made a weird movement without leaving your spot to uncuff him out of the shackles. "There..." As soon as he feels free, he grabs you and slams your body against the mattress. You don't try to resist, he is so much stronger than you after all, but it doesn't mean you have lost control over him. If anything, this was just the next step. You can feel every inch of Barou's inside of you, so desperate trying to reach deeper with every thrust. Thankfully, his hand presses your head against the mattress so your pitiful moans are muffled. He drills his dick desperately into you and you can hear groaning and moaning coming from him. At this state, Barou was definitely drunk pussy.
"You like my pussy that much?" you mock as if he isn't already having a hard time not cumming with every thrust. Your tightness is driving him crazy and every thrust is given with so much force that the headboard is hitting hard against the wall. You're sure you're going to hear complaints from Ego about damage to the facilities. But you couldn't care less, since you are also fighting the knot on your stomach not to burst. It requires talent not to let yourself go and reach your orgasm, but you haven't finished your job yet. Synchronizing with his movements and squeezing tight, you feel how his dick grows little by little until he bursts into the condom.
Barou isn't thinking straight anymore. His dick is sobbing already from the overstimulation, his muscles are exhausted from tensing for so long, and yet he hasn't had enough. He took his dick out to remove the condom and turn you over. Your body feels sore and tired but by the look of lust and hunger in Barou's eyes, you know he still wants to keep going.
"Can we go another round?" it was so out of character how sweet and attentive he sounded. His body is definitely ready to pound senseless into you but the way he is controlling himself reminds you of a dog waiting for his owner to reward it.
"Sure, we can," you agreed, and he didn't say anything else. He slides his dick on your pussy again and begins thrusting at an alarming peace. It is restless and messy. Your whole body is no more than a ragdoll at the force he is using. This time you don't try to hide your voice. Moaning out loud with each thrust, fuelling his frenzy.
It was too much for sure. He had no respect for your self being and you love it. It wasn't disrespectful like before, but more like he was not holding anything. He is showing a side of him that no one else has seen before. He isn't trying to control anything, not fighting against anyone, not proving himself to anyone. He is just focused on you and nothing else. He feels so free and powerful like never before, nothing can really compare to this sensation. Moaning your name over and over, he grabs your waist with enough force to leave marks on your skin.
Right now, you're clinging to the sheet for dear life, trying to tame a wild animal who has just reached ecstasy. Barou is high on you. All his senses dull by you. Your smell, your voice, your soft skin, everything is so incredibly overwhelming he can't take it, and yet he still needs more. He wants to go deeper, faster, longer... He wants to stay like this forever, connected to you. But he couldn't hold much longer and burst his load on you, not slowing down his pace but using less force to try to keep as much of his seed inside of you.
He collapses on top of you, hiding his face in your chest. You both have trouble recovering your breaths as you're still riding your highs back down. You use your hand to pet his head with long strokes on his hair.
"Good boy," you say smiling. He growls in response but his muscles relax at your touch, completely melting for you.

"Itoshi-kun, you have to calm down" Ego looks unbothered through the screen, but he is irritated at his own mistake. He noticed that the computer code changed during the software upgrade that morning but he didn't expect it to be a big deal. He thought it could only cause a typo or a missing number in today's schedule. If he had known it was going to release a demon, he would have fixed it at that moment. "As I already told you, it was just a computer mistake"
Surrounded by a wrecked room and a murderous aura, Itoshi Rin stared directly at the screen. If he wasn't on the other side of the TV., Ego knew his life would be in real danger.
"Where is she?" Rin's words are filled with a terrifying threat. He doesn't want any absurd excuse. He doesn't want an apology, compensation, or clarification. He wants you, and that's all. The mere fact that you weren't waiting for him, makes his blood boil in rage. And to think that you might be with someone else. He doesn't want to think about what he could do if he finds out who you are with right now.
"She must be just two floors below. I'm already sending her a message to come here," Rin cursed his training routine for the first time because if he hadn't taken so long to arrive at your room, he would have noticed your absence sooner and no one would have had the time to be with you. But that only makes him angrier to Ego.
"Bring her right now" He enunciates every word slowly and menacingly "if you value your life".

I tried choking myself like this and oh boy it was such an awful experienceâit felt as if someone had placed a really heavy stone over my head Don't try it, not worth it at all, I promise. 0/10, wouldn't recommend.
To choke yourself to the point where saliva is pooling out of your mouth and for you to cough like an asthmatic person, your airway passage must be blocked which means that this dude was really going at it.
So, let's talk about him:
What Kaiser has for Isagi now isn't rivalry anymore, it has become a near obsession and keeping their ship aside, they actually have a pretty unique kind of relationâthey both want to get ahead in the path of their soccer career and un/fortunately, they both just happen to be the best stepping stone for eachother right now.
Since the very first time Kaiser was introduced, he had made it clear that Isagi was some sort of a pawn for him to get ahead in his soccer career and that's what Ness also said here:
And Kaiser's words seemed to match Ness' words too:
And I don't blame Kaiser for choosing Isagi to be his rival.
You see, it's tough to truly understand how much impact Isagi's goal had in the BLLK universe. The investors and club owners were literally putting pressure on Noa to make Isagi playâdefeating such a boy and proving that you are better than him is a perfect way for literally anyone to increase their value; it fits even well for Kaiser since they both are in the same age group too.
But, the recent chapters, especially after BM Vs Ubers match ended, confused me more. Royale Madrid/Re Al is said to be the strongest/best soccer club in the whole world in BLLK universe, so it indirectly means that Kaiser's value increasedâit actually did increase though, about „20 millions and Ness' reaction perfectly sums what I want to say:
Kaiser achieved what he had came for in NEL to achieve.
However, we all know what his reaction was: he didn't care, all he cared was that he was inferior to Isagi.
...why?
Like, it just doesn't make sense. He got what he wanted. Besides, Kaiser has a value of „320M meanwhile Isagi is still behind Rin and Rin is himself behind Kaiser by „100M+! Further, every team has man-marked Kaiser right away! He is already perceived as some kind of threat by every opponent team, what more he wants? Is it some pride thing of boys that I don't understand?
It just feels.. weird.
If Kaiser were to be a real narcissist, then I don't think that he would've accepted so easily that Noa is better than him and that he can't compete against him.
The above statement sends me back to this again:
Chris words can be considered as something said just to provoke Kaiser which worked a bit too perfectly well. I don't know why, but the above panel seems much more important to the story, especially to his character when we glance at this panel:
Just.. what the heck is this guy's backstory!?
I must say that he is very well written and honestly, when Blue Lock Manga ends, Kaneshiro-san can literally make a spin-off of him and the Fandom will inhale it instantly. I wish Itoshi brothers had one too.
.
.
.
When NEL starts in the anime, I hope an official BLLKTV/BLLKTWT app gets launch. Istg it'll be a massive hit.

Twitter is a mess. People in the English-speaking bllk fandom have been commenting on one of Nomura-san's posts that the anime is bad. Like...?
I shouldn't have to explain how not cool that is. What do people get from bringing their discontent to the mangaka's attention? I'm astounded by the entitlement and lack of basic etiquette.
Things are better here, despite the disappointment in how S2 looks so far. It's fine to voice disappointment. It's less fine, in my opinion, to write everything off, trash the whole thing and only focus on the negatives. Particularly in spaces where people are trying to engage positively with the anime. Particularly when your choice of soapbox is in a creator's notifications.
I shitposted about this already, but I'll elaborate seriously for what it's worth. Here's the tl;dr:
Media doesn't have to be objectively good to be enjoyed.
Does the manga deserve a more considerate adaptation? Of course it does. This post is not an apology for what appears to be the result of a rushed production schedule.
Is the anime a complete write off, unwatchable, without merit, a failure that we should all condemn?
No.
If you disagree, please go watch the full first episode of Ex Arm and come back to this post.
That's a rough time, right? The animation has close to no redeeming factors. Yet it's funny for the mishaps alone. It has less than three stars on MAL and only a single work on AO3, but, y'know. The crappiness provokes something. It's been meme'd. Would I willingly watch more of it? No. But there's some enjoyment to be derived from Ex Arm, even if it's a car crash of an anime.
Blue Lock is not unwatchable. At worst, it's an average production. It's not going to win any awards for animation quality, but it's still got plenty to offer. Here's a quick list of merits:
The voice acting.
The music.
As manga fans, seeing everything in full colour.
The anime-original content and Additional Times.
The insane levels of fanservice, particularly for those who ship characters.
The dodgy PowerPoint slideshows and the CGI running scenes.
No, the last one isn't a joke. I complain about them myself. But they're also hilarious. When watching, slip-ups like that often get the biggest laughs from me. The panning shots of PNGs? The dumb stink clouds in season 1? Chigiri's CGI run in s2e2? The bit where lil Nanase was superimposed on top of the football? No, it's not great animation, and it's a shame that the studio didn't get more time to bring the manga to life. But laugh, and roll your eyes, and move on.
This perspective on mediaâacknowledging the flaws, while embracing the good things on offerâis balanced. There's no ban on being disappointed, and sharing thoughts to that effect. But, if you can't say anything positive about a show and want to vent, fine, share criticismâbut to a smaller audience and not within a main fandom space (e.g. the main bllk tag). That's good etiquette.
But if nothing else, then please. Please please please don't dogpile a mangaka or writer or artist with Opinions on something they have a peripheral at best involvement in.
#in the spirit of the post i'm not tagging this as blue lock#tbf i don't think anyone in the tumblr community has been as bullishly frustrated as on twitter#we'll call it a#vent post#personal#mine

Literally just noticed something crazy and maybe it's because I rewatched KnB a while ago and now I'm finally able to play Bllk PWC but it's kind of wild...
How on one hand we have Kise; he's a popular, he's got the looks, money and opportunities people would kill for and in addition to that he's an all rounder who's capable of replicating anyone's moves. Everyone hyped this up, and I'm pretty sure next to Kagami or Kagami he was one of the fan favourites.
And on the other hand, that's almost practically the same mind you, we have Mikage Reo who also has all these qualities but because he's not selfish and he unashamedly devotes himself to chasing a dream with Nagi (the deuteragonist), as they refuse to fully conform to blue Lock's standards, so many people like to see him as weak and holding Nagi back but that's really not case.
These characters are practically of the same mold but maybe it's cuz I wasn't in fandom at the height of Knb, but the thing is that I've never seen Kise hate but as a bllk fan almost every month is having to watch so many many people mischaracterize or undercut Reo's importance to Nagi because they're not following the script of staying apart to grow.
For Kise and Kuroko's story, it was probably best they stayed apart, it's not like Kise didn't make an attempt to pull Kuroko back in his orbit but it serves the plot that they find their own paths and Kise learn to acknowledge others and see them worthy of respect.
Reo's spent his whole life acknowledging people, spent his life confirming to the ideals his parents and the society he grew up set for him. For him Soccer and meeting Nagi are two things so intrinsically entwined especially since they stemmed from the one thing he wants to earn for himself. So obviously Nagi's just as big a part of his story as he is to Nagi's.
I feel I kind of lost the plot at some point but what I'm really trying to say is that Reo hate and trying to push a terrible interpretation of him is basically low IQ behavior. Everyone in Blue Lock is fucking emotional and crazy to some degree so him been icy in that one arc to Nagi is actually nothing crazy. Teaming back up with Nagi in NEL was a questionable at best but at this point it's clear they're dedicated on being a package deal no matter how many L's they might take along the way (which lol love that for them, couple goals).
And most especially him (or Nagi) refusing to give up on working together isn't stupid, for all the ego and selfish talk some haters seem to speed they're blind to seeing this duo's conviction to being the Isagi adjacent is their own version of Ego. An Ego that relies on their shared dream.
That's all from me, this probably seemed like a shipping post towards the end but hey, I am their number one fan (referring to ngro here). I love Kise too but in KnB I think I'd have to say Tetsuya is my favorite. Hope I made some Reo lovers happy and some Reo haters mad, I'll be back to edit when I don't have to retake a test in the morning ( ââżâ )⥠I've gotten a couple Asks about ngro dynamics so I'll probably be tackling those next, see ya <333

For the shipping bingo board, Rin/Isagi, Kunigami/Chigiri & Nagi/Reo :3
Woo, a fun one!
Rinsagi:
Listen. They are The ship because they are divorced and soulmates at the same time. I love that energy they have going on. Their dynamic got sidetracked with the neo egoist arc and kaiser's introduction as isagi's new foil/rival, but imho bllk peaked when these two were still navigating how to coexist with each other and simultaneously come on top of each other. What I like about their dynamic is that is balanced. While isagi makes an effort to understand rin and work with him instead of for him like everyone else, isagi also doesn't coddle him or tries to fix him.
They are equally deranged for football and their skill levels are different, but on the field they push and challenge each other in ways that other dynamics simply don't, imho. I never get the feeling from them that either one has fully caught up to the other, and that's part of why I like them so much. They barely tolerate each other, yet they're the closest thing to actual teamwork this manga will ever have. What I love about them is that despite being polar opposite in basically every respect (personalities, family curcumstances, attitude towards others), they're also very in-synch because on the field they see the same view and think the same way. Everyone always says that kaisagi is the dbhwks equivalent of bllk, but to me that's rinsagi. Enemies that have way too much in common and don't want to admit it.
Plus I find it funny that they're both lowkey-highkey touch averse so that makes imagining them as a couple fairly fun :')
Kunigiri:
This is where I'm conflicted because this is a very very small fandom, and the bloggers who actively talk here (here being tumblr or discord) as opposed to just... Sharing things are almost all kncg shippers. For the sake of finding fandom friends, I tried liking this ship. Believe me, I did! But it just isn't hitting for me. And the thing is, I can see the appeal. They have the same tragic angle of friends separed that nagireo and bachisagi do, except it's even more tragic because one of them is almost eliminated! Plus the whole "came back wrong" potential angle! I should be shipping them! I live for angst and for hurt/comfort! But I just... I don't know. I find them a bit bland, and it doesn't help that I hate with a passion the nickname "princess" and you just cannot avoid it in this corner of the fandom
I guess I will try harder, maybe eventually I will find out the fic that will convert me
Nagireo:
This is where I reveal myself as unhinged because they have completely hijacked my brain. I STARTED SHIPPING THEM AS A JOKE. because it was funny. And then I read episode nagi. And then somehow they became my biggest comfort ship ever??? They can barely communicate. They actively make each other worse (at least as far as blue lock themes go. They'd be fine in a different manga). How did this happen.
Ahem. Without writing (another) essay on them (check my meta tag for those), I will say that I am absolutely feral about these two. They're fun because they are so Weird. They're the best friends to lovers trope but they can't talk to each other at all. Miscommunication is their daily bread. They're rivals who can't help being wrapped around each other's fingers. One moment they're trying to progress as their own individuals, the next they're back to being codependent. They exemplify so many of the themes of blue lock and one day I'm gonna write a whole essay on it. Like I'm not even kidding, reonagi, bachisagi and rinsae are all faces of the same coin. I'm convinced Kaneshiro introduced them all to drive home the idea that the best striker in the world cannot live for someone else's success, and those three dynamics are different stages of self awareness in that respect. In that respect I think all three are integral to the series and that's why they're the most nuanced dynamics of the show
But as for nagireo itself? I know they will make me miserable eventually because I want them to be a team and that will never happen (well, if you don't take into account how they're both likely to make it to the u20 proper at least). But still. If I didn't like pain I wouldn't be shipping them in the first place I guess

I'm kinda late but yeah :D
For fandoms: Soukoku, Jade x Trey, and Leona x Ruggie
For your ocs: Akio x Ichiro, Aimi x Akane, Kei x Daisuke (Now that we know more about them, I'd like to see what you think of these skips, hehe. :DD)
it's okay it's okay! i'm surprised to see no bllk ships here /lh
LISTEN. AGAIN. i'm just not really a fan of this dynamic in general? like, i really like the concept of đ đ characters being a couple, but ehh, for some reason soukoku is just.. not it for me. it's like, i can see the "hating each other" part, but i can't see the "secretly in love with each other" part?? also i just got too tired of seeing it everywhere and the "this ship killed my grandma, okay" part is like. i've told this story to my other friends before, but long story short, back when i was like 13-14 years old and i just got into bsd, i was a part of this gc and all members liked skk, but i didn't, so they came up with this great plan: THEY JUST KICKED ME OUT OF THE GC EVERY TIME THEY MENTIONED SKK AND THEN ADDED ME AGAIN WHEN THEY CHANGED THE TOPIC. like. i get it, they were even younger than me and they said that "they did that for my own comfort", but also.. yeah, i kinda get ptsd every time i see them now /j
i just.. don't really get it?? like yes, i know about their interactions and i know about the whole "oh, trey thought jade is just like him fr but it turned out that jade likes working for azul" (??) thing, but also.. idk, i just don't really care about this ship :'D maybe it's bc i'm kinda neutral when it comes to these characters too (i'm like a magnet for trey and jade simps though. i have too many mutuals/friends who like them JDJSKSALSL) so that's why i don't really care about shipping them too?
tbh the age gap makes me feel a bit uncomfy? like, listen, i'm not the type of person who goes "IF THESE TWO CHARACTERS ARE NOT THE EXACT SAME AGE, YOU'RE NOT ALLOWED TO SHIP THEM", but ehhh, idk, i think leona is a bit too old for ruggie. i think i like the concept in theory, since i enjoy dynamics where character a has more power and character b is their servant/follower/etc, but ruggie is like.. basically, i think he deserves better jdkdslsdls
WELL. UH. NOW LET'S TALK ABOUT WHAT I ACTUALLY LIKE. okay, i love both platonic and romantic versions of akio x ichiro. they're just so cute, but so toxic at the same time <333 like, hear me out. they have a very cute dynamic bc akio just wants someone to listen to him and admire him and just do what he says, but also recognize that he's more than just his intelligence and he has other good qualities too and if ichiro needs attention and someone to guide him and answer his questions, well, akio would be glad to do that! but also, there's a lot of angst potential since akio still misses arata to a very bad and obsessive degree as it will be shown in season 2 and he may also see ichiro only as a "second option" because he would like to reconcile with arata if he's able to go back home and also, unlike riku, ichiro probably doesn't really share any traits with arata? but hey, maybe akio should just stop searching for guys who look and act exactly the same way and try something new? also i can definitely see them as, like, that type of ship where someone talks a lot and the other one just listens and nods. but yeah, i think they should go to therapy together once they're out. if they're able to leave milgram that is (also hi i'm typing this while thinking about t2 akio and I'M THIS CLOSE TO CRYING)
AIMI X AKANE IS SUCH A CUTE SHIP (both platonically and romantically) IT LITERALLY MAKES ME MELT. like, their t1 version is so heartwarming, aimi finally gets a friend (maybe something more?) and akane finally gets someone who won't look away and give her all the attention and love she needs! also matching bandaids!! brushing each other's hair!! aimi saying that she can hug akane if she's too cold!! (and aimi is very soft and warm and her prison uniform is just like that as well) but also man. i'm thinking about the fact that i've actually never revealed much about aimi's backstory and what kind of person she was before milgram and like, why she was bullied by everyone.. and again, her undercover lyrics, if someone is not her friend, they don't deserve to even breathe. would love to see akane's reaction to t2 aimi, hehe <3 (don't worry, aimi is still cute, but now we get to know how messed up her morals can be) (also the fact that their love languages go together so well makes me go insane)
AGAIN. i love them both platonically and romantically. two angsty boys who have some love-related problems, how cute <3 but also, i think daisuke deserves someone better than kei jdkslsls. kei's morals are literally non-existent and he genuinely enjoys hurting people though one of the reasons why he likes it is because he thinks it's a normal way to show how much you love them. their love languages go together surprisingly well too (the masochist bit made me laugh so hard like if kei found out HE WOULDN'T LEAVE HIM ALONE AND WOULD TEASE HIM NON-STOP). this is also that kind of ship that really makes me wonder how your ocs would react to the t2 versions of my ocs, though in this case it's more about, well, kei's t2 mv and more info about his crime because IT'S GONNA BE SAD.
#also yes i'm working on season 2 it's just. homework. and exams#I LITERALLY HAVE TO GO AND DO MY HW RN AND I'M TALKING ABOUT SHIPS đ#t2 akio and kei are so. *CRIES ON THE FLOOR*#like when i can finally talk about them you won't be able to shut me up sjdkslsl#âlina what twst ships do you even likeâ I'M A CHARACTER X CHARACTER ENJOYER YES but my ships are like#they're either not that popular or extremely basic (like adeuce or vil x neige)#(also ngl now i kinda prefer some oc x canon ships because come on. my ocs are pretty they would fall in love with my kids if they met them#lina plays ask games#lina's friends!#friend: aurora! đ

hi belle !!! i felt like i had to come in and clear things up since the lil discourse started in my ask box lol and now i feel bad :,( in no way do i feel like there was any sort of even the slightest inspiration taken from the asks on my acc ! we've even talked abt it a bit here on ur blog lol (and i still need to reply 2 u, too đ) so i'd also be thankful if the discourse stopped altogether cuz i strongly believe coincidents happen and i do not even feel like the idea was mine in any way so !
i hope what i said makes sense :// even i myself dont see any issue with this situation and i am absolutely frothing at the mouth to read interrupted lol SO with that being said, i hope the whole discussion dies down <3 im so sorry it ruined ur mood, sending u the biggest hugs rn ! :(
Thanks for dropping in and clearing the air, Zari
And yes, it does make sense. There are so many times when i see people literally paraphrasing my work and making plot lines with a similar synopsis as mine; like the other day i was going to call this author out in the bllk fandom and i spoke to my friend about it with screenshots and everything. And after thinking about it realized that erotica and romance are not unique genres and that includes dark content as well so themes can overlap and at the end of the day- it is not literally published work.
I'm not a fan of discourse myself tbh. and i don't understand why most people don't take it with a sense of rationality?
I've been on tumblr for over 4 years now, yes I started here when i was 16 and began posting last year. When i was at 250 followers, i released a fic and the idea was stolen by an author who had over 10,000 follows+ than me (who i had interacted with) and it went at a very fast pace of gaining over 170 likes in two hours or maybe less. I know what it feels like to have your work taken away from you and used by someone else for the purpose of their content. Why would i wish that on anyone else? Most of my followers follow blogs apart from mine that have blue lock content. so if i did copy someone's idea, they would notify me about it; and even if i knew that you had an idea like this in your blog i would have never used it as we're both writers for the same fandom. It would literally give me nothing but backlash from readers and ruin a reputation i've spent time building here -causing me emotional instability which is the last thing i want for myself (since i have already got a lot going irl) given the fact that hate spreads more faster than being liked; speaking from experience since i have seen enough number of discourses take place here and also on how bad it can get.
And even late last year, i had a whole wip list out for different fandoms including haikyuu and other animes that i watched, explaining what the fic was about and everything. But even that got taken away from me (one of the anons dropped a word for word title in the inbox of a famous author/ writer here + it turned up in the 'x reader' tags) so i rarely discuss what fic i'm going to write next and just decide to keep it a secret and release it when its done.
Thanks again for dropping in Zari (hope you enjoy reading 0^^0 *sending hugs back*); and since the discourse has been settled by both of us, on further notice any ask regarding 'interrupted' will be deleted.

Okay Blue Lock fandom, let's standardize this
A lot of Twitter users are coming, and if we don't want the harmonious fandom we have here to turn into a toxic one, let's make use of "anti tags"
What are anti tags?
Basically, anti tags are tags you use when you are against a certain character or ship. For example, if you hate the rinsagi ship for whatever reason, you tag it with #anti rinsagi and NOT #rinsagi. This way, people who actually like the rinsagi ship won't have to see the hate you're spewing about it.
The same goes with characters you don't like. If you don't like Nagi, tag your post with #anti nagi or, better yet, #anti nagi seishirou. Do not tag it with just #nagi seishirou.
By making use of anti tags properly, people can block out hateful content they don't want to see.
NOW PLEASE REBLOG THIS POST SO THAT MORE PEOPLE WILL SEE.
Let's make this fandom a safe space.
Edit: And please, DO NOT CENSOR CHARACTER OR SHIP NAMES in the anti tags. If you censor them, filtering them out will be harder.

My #1 post of 2022
An Honest Guide to Tumblr for Twitter Refugees (Part 1)
I know there are already tons of guides out there, but my WiFi was down the whole day and I got nothing else to do. Spent the entire morning making gifs, but still no WiFi, and Iâm like, fck this letâs make a Tumblr guide.
Now, assuming youâve already signed up and was able to snatch a fancy url*, hereâs what you should do next: Log into Tumblr on desktop. You probably made your account through the app, and thatâs cool and all, but for this guide, Iâll be showing some features that are currently only available on desktop Tumblr, so go ahead and get your laptop or PC out. Following this guide will also be easier on desktop.
*url = basically your username/handle on this site. We call them urlâs because it what makes your domain name on your blog. More on this later.
Covered in Part 1:
Configuring your Tumblr Settings (filters, community labels, algorithms, etc.)
Customizing your Tumblr (how to avoid being mistaken as a bot**, enabling your Tumblr website, finding a Tumblr theme)
**this wasnât included when I first made this post but decided to add it coz itâs really important.
Configuring your Tumblr Settings
Filters and Community Labels
Go to tumblr.com/settings/account. Here, youâll find one of Tumblrâs most important features: filters and community labels. Filters are similar to Twitterâs âmute wordsâ feature, and they come in two types: Tag and Content filters
Unlike Twitter, where tags are part of the post itself, Tumblr has a dedicated section at the bottom of the post to add tags.
Tag filters block out posts that are specifically tagged with #tag, while Content filters block posts containing a certain word within the body of the post itself. Once you have these set, you will never see such posts when using the search feature on Tumblr. It will still show up on your dashboard though, but it will look this and comes with the option to view the post for whenever youâre curious:
As for Community Labels, this should be self-explanatory. Mature content is now allowed on Tumblr, but if you donât want to see such content, you can always opt-out.

there's barely a bllk fandom here but whatever, I want to talk about the evolution of themes in bllk. so I will.
the moral of blue lock isn't really "egoism trumps teamwork" and it isn't "teamwork was the answer all along." the moral of blue lock is that "egoism is not incompatible with teamwork; you need both, but egoism should be the catalyst for teamwork if you want to get the best out of everyone." the theme of blue lock evolves as we go to the newer arcs, but the main point always seems to be that you should expect the best of yourself and your teammates. aim high. don't settle for less than your ambition. demand the best from yourself, but also from everyone else. this is what isagi's playstyle is evolving into, and this is what his brand of egoism is going to be all about.
I was watching the trailers and I saw some people were skeptical of the premise, which, fair! soccer/football is a team sport! but blue lock (for the first ~150 chapters of the manga) is not about creating the best team, it's about creating the best striker. that one individual who will actually push the team to win the game.
the whole premise of why blue lock exists is because the manga asserts that japan's football culture already fosters solid teamwork and defense, but doesn't create strikers who are egoistic enough to make that finisher that wins the team points in the game. teamwork can get the ball close to the goal, but you need a player who won't second-guess himself and actually try to score a goal instead of passing it to another player (hello isagi of chapter one).
I'm wondering about this because idk if the manga was able to illustrate its concept so clearly until the U-20 match and the neo egoist league arc, and both don't happen until 100 chapters in (I guess I'll change my mind on a re-read).
manga spoilers under the cut:
if we look at the struggles of each team in the U-20 match, it's that blue lock eleven (isagi in particular) had a rough time getting goals in because the U-20 team had really good defense. this illustrates the strength of japan's current football culture. on the other hand, well, if we look at the scoreboard, the goals the U-20 team made were all from sae and shidou â the offensive players that are imports and aren't actually part of the japan's U-20 team. this, I think, was most illustrative of what the manga is trying to say about what japan's team is lacking and why blue lock is the answer to that.
we can also see here that "egoism trumps teamwork" was never the goal of the manga. ego himself selected the regulars of blue lock eleven based on who synergizes the best with rin. it's actually interesting to me that sae chooses the soloist striker shidou while ego carefully selects the team who can bring out the best of each other. this decision making is why he subs in barou later on as well. he's a wild card, but a wild card that pushes isagi, and therefore rin, to be better.
the difference between sae and ego is that sae did not have faith in the U-20 team because they cannot play on his level. which, let's be honest, it's gonna be really fucking boring to be the best in the team and not be able to link with anyone because they're mediocre in your eyes. ego doesn't have this problem, because he cultivated a culture where everyone is on the same level and wants to be the best all the time. this is what blue lock's egoism brings to the table. teamwork that is not based on compromise, or on what role/niche you fulfill. it is teamwork based on individual strength coming together through "chemical reactions." a team where everyone isn't boxed in their team role, but focuses on the actual goal of scoring points. this is why if karasu and chigiri are not busy defending, they will play the ball too. isagi might be the perfect midfielder, but if he never had the ego to want to score points himself and to position himself such that luck would rain upon him, if he only stuck to making sure the ball gets passed to rin or nagi, blue lock would not have won that game.
so that is blue lock's egoism in play. now let's talk about the neo egoist league, particularly with isagi trying to incorporate himself with the german team. here, he is confronted with two things: 1) the philosophy of his idol (noel noa) that's all about rational plays; 2) kaiser embodying the ideal efficiency that isagi was trying to achieve for himself. on an individual level, I think this arc is about isagi creating a vision for himself that's beyond that. to be the best in the world, he has to envision a future isagi who is better than his idol (noel noa), and who is better than what he thinks is the best evolution of his current self (kaiser). I have more thoughts on this but this will derail the topic of this post so uh. moving on.
more importantly, I think isagi's struggles in the german team is illustrative of the evolution of themes in blue lock. two things have changed in blue lock in this arc: 1) the goals have changed. whereas before, when blue lock aimed to create that one (1) best striker out of 300 students, now the situation has changed such that ego has enough power to literally be the new coach of the new U-20 team. the goal now is to select the best 23 players who will be part of the new U-20 team. you can even switch roles and not focus on being a striker anymore if that's the path you choose! and if you want to quit, well there's the auction system that guarantees your career, assuming you prove yourself enough to those who want to bid.
(also, side note: I kinda love the new auction system because it touches on the celebrity culture side of sports, and also it's a waaaay better system than the first one where getting eliminated means getting banned from japan's national team. anyway, I digress)
2) the second change in blue lock this arc is that everyone gets to play with other players of other nationalities now. they are confronted with a philosophy that's different from blue lock's egoism. will they incorporate that philosophy to boost their own ego, or will they be devoured by these new ideas?
this is particularly interesting in the german team, whose strategy is basically "be super efficient and pass the ball to the striker so he can score points." formulaic, but very straightforward! it works, so why fix what's not broken, right?
this is where I think blue lock's egoism, specifically isagi's, is truly challenged. as ego said, to join these teams you have to prove yourself that you're worth including, and that's either by replacing a team member, showing that you can mesh well with the existing team philosophy, or: dying the water with your color and devouring them yourself.
the thing is, isagi will never be satisfied with just assisting. his ego will never be happy with him just passing the ball to kaiser. the german team's strategy works but it won't be satisfying to an egoist player. isagi works best when everyone else around him is at their best. but the german team only focuses on kaiser being the star. there is no room for another player to score goals here. there is no room for growth for everyone else, really.
and this is why I think isagi's playstyle and egoism (which, in the end, is going to be blue lock's metaphorical representative style of egoism) is going in the direction of demanding the best of its players, not just himself. his puzzle soccer strategies rely on this. he believes that bachira will be able to dribble the ball past whoever marks him. he believes that rin will surpass sae. he believes in kunigami's super powerful left foot and being a hero. isagi might be a "rational" thinker, but his game sense goes beyond rationality. he incorporates things like "luck" and "trust" (trust that his teammates are evolving and being at their best).
to be an egoist is to demand the best of yourself. isagi's brand of egoism is that he also brings out the best of others, and uses their evolution to challenge himself to be better. he demands the best out of everyone. which circles back to what he said in the tag game where kira got eliminated: isagi's goal is to be the best by challenging the best, not trampling on the weak.
and this contrasts with how kaiser's team works. kaiser is the egoist striker of the german team. and if we follow the original premise of blue lock (create the best striker and put them in the existing national team), you should end up with something like kaiser's team. an egoist striker with a teamwork-based team.
but that is not the egoism nor the kind of team that isagi wants. and this is why I think blue lock (the manga) is evolving its own theme as well.
I've been thinking for a while how isagi will become the best striker in the world. in his current state, he's an excellent offensive midfielder and shadow striker. but he isn't the forward, he isn't the star like nagi or rin. but I think blue lock is changing directions as a manga. blue lock's remaining players are now being tested on how strong the egoism philosophy really is when played in the real world. this is no longer about building a striker's individual ego, but exploring how that striker's ego is going to elevate their team and bring them to victory. this is the striker's ego put into practice.
but also, ego is now creating a U-20 team instead of refining one striker out of 300. the manga wants to change japanese football culture, and what's a more radical change than creating a team completely made of egoists? how does that even work? well, it probably looks like the blue lock eleven team. a team where defenders and midfielders who will try to score goals too. if you ask isagi, that's probably the best kind of team to be in.
all that to say: I'm really looking forward to where the manga is going, and I really hope that people will give the anime a chance. I understand the first 100 chapters is about establishing what egoism is, and they are really entertaining on their own! but to me the real pay off is in when the U-20 match starts. also probably the end of the second selection with bachira's ego development, that was also really good. there's something to be said about bachira and reo playing on the same level as others, and making sure you always catch up and not fall behind. if you want to play with the best, you also have to be one of the best. and that itself also takes ego to acknowledge.
omg I did not expect this to be this long. idk who's reading this but if you made it to the end, hi, ty for going through all that. read blue lock with me yeah??
#mine musings#liveblogging bllk#changing my liveblogging tag bc the first one was too long to type on mobile#blue lock#blue lock meta#am i really... writing meta on the soccer ego manga? yeah i guess i am#it doesn't seem like there's much of a bllk fandom on tumblr though (?) so i guess i'm chucking this into the void#omg i really just conked out and wrote this but why is this so LONG
